Projecting Freedom: Cinematic Interpretations of the Haggadah presents the work of award winning film and video artists creating personal and compelling cinematic approaches to interpreting the Passover Haggadah. Corresponding to the individual steps of the Haggadah, each short video offers unique, visual, commentary on the Passover story, allowing viewers to engage with this ancient and much revered text in new and compelling ways.
We invite film and video artists of all ages to respond to this project by submitting their own short videos rooted in the 14 steps of the Haggadah. Click here to learn how to submit a video. A study guide is being prepared for Passover 2011 to use these visual commentaries in the classroom along with a wide variety of classic and contemporary texts. We invite you to lean back, relax, enjoy, and tell us what you think.
